Traffic Control Planning

ADA & Pedestrian Plans

Public Ready prepares ADA and pedestrian traffic control plans to support construction, utility, and public right-of-way activities that impact sidewalks, crossings, and accessible routes. Plans are developed to maintain safe, continuous, and compliant pedestrian access throughout all phases of work.

How Public Ready Supports Accessible Pedestrian Access

Public Ready acts as a planning and coordination partner, preparing ADA and pedestrian traffic control documentation that addresses temporary access, safety, and continuity requirements during construction activities within the public right-of-way.

• Temporary pedestrian routing and detour planning

• Continuous ADA-compliant access path documentation

• Sidewalk, curb ramp, and crosswalk impact coordination

• Accessible signage and wayfinding considerations

• Coordination with agency accessibility review requirements

When ADA & Pedestrian Plans Are Required

ADA and pedestrian traffic control plans are commonly required when construction activities impact sidewalks, pedestrian crossings, curb ramps, or accessible routes within the public right-of-way. Requirements vary by agency, jurisdiction, and project scope.
